Making wine less confusing than dating. Discover how VJ STUDIO and «Wine Dork NY» partnered to lead New York residents through a sensitive process of wine selection and empowers local wine retailers to better promote their products.

Wine Dork NY engaged VJ STUDIO to build a web site that becomes a link to the best in wine evaluation, education and commentary. The idea was to make a web site look more unique and artistic rather than commercial.
Visitors had to be able to sign up to become members and receive full access to the articles, reviews and participating wine retailers. Wine Dork NY requested a dynamic map of Manhattan where visitors can specify the area and see the location of participating wine retailers.
The web site had to allow article editors to easily update its content and add wine retailers to the database. A banner rotation system was one of the requirements that allows Wine Dork NY to sell and track advertising on the web site.
We created a truly unique online experience for Wine Dork NY. The design presents simple, attractive and a very artistic look that supports Wine Dork NY’s brand and vision. Most of the design elements are hand-drawn illustrations that inspire web site’s visitors.
The navigation is simple and intuitive. The web site offers a dynamic map of Manhattan where visitors can select an area and then choose a wine retailer to get more information about their offerings. Visitors can sign up to become members and receive access to all parts of the web site.
We engaged the web site with a custom made content management system enabling editors to manage content and giving administrators the ability to manage advertising campaigns using intuitive tools.
Since the web site was launched, the results have met or exceeded Wine Dork NY business objectives.
During the first three month, there were over 20 thousand unique site visits and over 150 wine retailer participants.
Users spent an average of seven minutes on the Wine Dork NY site.
